Interaction Design is the creative consultancy firm of Isabel Fróes. She has a total of 20 years of experience in the
field of UX, interaction and service design covering a variety of design
methods including: UX research and analysis, user-journeys and scenarios,
concept development, participatory approaches, prototyping, play x playfulness and communication
platforms. Having worked both as a scholar and practitioner in cities such as
New York, Mexico City, Los Angeles, São Paulo, London, besides over 15 years of
work in Denmark, Isabel brings an international perspective combined with
a capability to help transform ideas into tangible outcomes. As a scholar,
with a background in psychology and interaction design, she keeps researching
on links between people/spaces/technology perceptions through a user-centered
approach with creative methods.
Besides consulting, Isabel has taught and advised at various educational institutions, such as the IT University
of Copenhagen, the Royal College of Art (London), University of Copenhagen, Kolding School
of Design, CIID and eventually works as an examinator
at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and
Conservation. Isabel has a PhD in digital design, which was a transnational
research between Japan and Denmark, investigating young children's play
practices with tablets.
Currently she is applying design research and design thinking methods in the field of mobility and urban development on the Cities-4-People project.
